A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a specific e-mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. In other words, if you delete an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten address under the very same domain name, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be vital in case you are running some company, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited bulk messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filtering software so as to receive only legitimate messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be really easy if you have a web hosting plan with us. You can activate this feature through our advanced, yet user-friendly Email Manager, which is included in the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the hosting account itself. You will see all the email addresses that you have set up shown alphabetically and next to each one of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately notify you if a particular mailbox receives all the messages pertaining to a given domain name or not. With one click on the icon you can enable or disable this option at any moment. If there is activated email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain, you’ll receive a warning notice from our system. The latter won’t replace/disable anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated effortlessly in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll see a tiny sign conveniently situated right next to each of them. With just one mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option using the context menu that will show up. If any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will notify you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
